THE MILTON PLAYERS THEATRE GROUP AUDITION NOTICE

Auditions: Sunday October 20, 2019, 2pm - 4pm and Tuesday October 22, 2019, 7pm – 9pm
Where – Waldies Blacksmith Shop, 16 James Street, Milton.
Monologue not required, cold read from the script. There is no need to book an audition time as the director will be pairing actors in various roles to play off of each other (group readings).
Please show up at the beginning of auditions Sunday OR Tuesday and be prepared to stay till the end.
RACHEL - the bride, 20s-30s, always in command
BILL - the groom, 20s-30s, rarely in command
TOM - the best man, 20s-30s, solid, dependable
JUDY – the best man’s girlfriend, 20s-30s
JULIE - a chambermaid, 20s-30s, kooky, volatile
DAPHNE - the bride's mother, 50+, emotional
Ages of the characters will be determined based on availability of actors
A bridegroom wakes on his wedding morning and finds a strange girl in bed beside him. During the ensuing panic to get the stranger dressed and out of the way, the bride arrives and the girl is trapped in the bathroom. The only way out of the dilemma is to persuade the best man to pretend that the hidden girl is his girlfriend. By the time the bride’s parents and half the hotel staff get in on the act, the chaos reaches nuclear proportions!
Rehearsals: Wednesday 7:30pm - 10:30pm; Friday 7:30pm - 10:30pm; Sunday 6:00pm - 9:00 pm, at St. Paul’s United Church, 123 Main St. East, Milton.
