URGENT CALL for Actors! The Milton Players Theatre Group is looking for a male actor between 25-45 years old for the role of Beau for our upcoming production of “The Cottage.” If interested please contact info@miltonplayers.com by August 25.

BEAU – Perhaps the best-looking man in Britain.The Cottage Synopsis:
Sylvia and Beau find themselves in an English countryside cottage for their yearly rendezvous, and Sylvia knows this time it will be the beginning of their new life together. But when Beau demurs on a shared future, and their spouses arrive at the cottage, she realizes that this home-away-from-home is a refuge for determining a new path forward. With a tip of the hat to Noël Coward and sex comedies of the past, THE COTTAGE offers a perfect showcase for six actors with endless laughs, hilarious twists, daring physical comedy, and a happy ending for lovers everywhere.Rehearsals: Tuesday 7:30pm – 10:30pm; Thursday 7:30pm – 10:30pm; Sunday 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Show dates: November 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14 2026 at The First Ontario Arts Centre Milton.
ALL show dates, production week, and mid-run pick up rehearsal are mandatory.

We’re holding auditions for the first show of our upcoming MADNESS & MAYHEM Season, the hilarious comedy THE COTTAGE, written by Sandy Rustin, Directed by Rosanna Armata and Assistant Directed by Paresh Karkhanis.
Auditions: Sunday, June 7, 2026, 2pm-4pm & Monday, June 8, 2026, 7:30pm–9:30pmCallbacks (if needed): Wednesday, June 10, 2026, 7:30pm-9:30pm.
Where – St David’s Presbyterian Church, 132 Main St. N, Campbellville, ON
Monologue not required, cold read from the script, English accent preferred.
There is no need to book an audition time as the directors will be pairing actors in various roles to play off eachother (group readings). Sides available upon request; please send an email to info@miltonplayers.com
Please show up at the beginning of auditions Sunday OR Monday.
Please be prepared to stay the entire time (if you need to leave early let us know upon arrival. If you need to arrive late, let us know via email ahead of time).

Show Synopsis: In this side-splitting and thought-provoking comedy, Leon and Bill concoct a list of attributes of the ideal woman – the top ten best qualities in a mate. When this allegedly “ideal woman” actually arrives on the scene, the men quickly learn that their list could use a few revisions. Careful what you wish for – especially in choosing a mate. This old adage leads to hilarious results in Foster”s sparkling comic hit.

Character Descriptions:
BILL – A 50-year-old statistician divorced and insecure when it comes to women. A bit of a homebody, but is open to meeting a nice modest woman to enjoy the occasional dinner and each other’s company.
LEON – A 50-55-year-old novelist married 24 years, but not faithfully. A self-perceived lady’s man, who’s midlife crisis is the awakening he didn’t see coming. A long-standing friend of Bill’s despite being polar- opposites.
JUSTINE – A mystery woman who is everything and anything at the stroke of a pencil – literally!
