    Monologue not required, cold read from the script.

    Please email membership@miltonplayers.com to indicate which day you will be coming to get a sense of
    numbers and pairings. There is no need to book an audition time as the director will be pairing actors in various roles to play off of each other (group readings). Sides will be available at auditions only

    Please show up at the beginning of auditions Sunday OR Monday.
    Please be prepared to stay the entire time (if you need to leave at a certain time please let us know when you
    arrive. If you need to show up late please let us know via email ahead of time)

    Characters:
    JOEL HOPPER – age range: 35-45yr. A down on his luck writer who is currently suffering from a severe case
    of writer’s block while trying to sell his father’s house
    EMMA BARD – age range: 28-40yr. An inexperienced real estate agent with Royal Landmark Realty
    ESTELLE HOPPER – age range: 35-45yr. Joel’s ex-wife
    TED PHILLIPS – Estelle’s lover, perfect hair, 40-50yr. An eccentric entrepreneur and Estelle’s new boyfriend

    Ages of the characters will be determined based on availability of actors

    Show Synopsis: Emma, an incredibly determined realtor, decides that Joel is as much of a “fixer-upper” as the
    house he lives in. With the addition of Joel’s soon-to-be-ex looking to get divorce papers signed and her “man purse”-toting beauty entrepreneur boyfriend in tow, Emma focuses all her considerable energy into developing the curb appeal of the house—as well as its inhabitant. The comedy is sure, the characters well drawn, and the
    circumstances? Hilarious.

    Rehearsals: Tuesday 7:30pm – 10:30pm; Thursday 7:30pm – 10:30pm; Sunday 6:00pm – 9:00pm
    Rehearsals start Feb 15, 2024

    Characters:
    SYLVIA CHARLES – early 80s, living like she’s in her early 20s, the mastermind behind Saucy Slips, proud tenant of a rent controlled apartment
    VERA WALTERS – Sylvia’s aged accomplice, equipped with two hearing aids and a collapsible walker
    BRIDGET CHARLES – Sylvia’s unsuspecting, 20-something, soon-to-be-law-student granddaughter
    TOM O’GRADY – newest cop on the force, happily assigned the beat where Sylvia’s apartment is
    GIL SCHMIDT – the landlord, overly eager to rid himself of his aged tenants, 60s
    HEATHER VAN PREE – employee of Saucy Lips, looking for better opportunities, a modeling career, or just her boxes
    CLAIR – the big client, mid 60s
    VOICE – man at the front desk, slightly bored, always sarcastic – can double as one of the UPS men
    UPS MAN – cute, a little lonely
    OTHER UPS MAN – strong and silent type – can double as Heather, Clair or Mr. Schmidt as long as the audience doesn’t recognize them as such

    Show Synopsis: Bridget and her grandmother are about to become roommates. However, what Bridget saw as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite nana in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget. It seems her sweet grandma is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling handmade naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five-borough area! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will her nana get arrested – or worse – evicted?
