    Auditions: Monday December 12, 2022, 7pm – 10pm
    Where – Milton Historical Society Waldie Blacksmith Shop, 16 James Street, Milton, L9T 2P4
    Auditions will be held in groups of 4. Please prepare a 1-2min comedic monologue from any medium
    (theatre/movie/tv etc). Each person will present their monologue and then do cold reads from the script as a

    All are required to sing on stage a cappella and must have at least a beginner skill (or better) at golf

    Characters: Male, 30-55yrs
    RICK – Boat salesman, visiting from Florida, single though a bit of a ladies man. The best golfer
    TED – CEO of a small computer company, just married to his 2nd wife, an endlessly high alcohol tolerance
    DONNIE – Hardware store manager, married with 5 children, lives in the countryside. Playing golf today for
    the first time
    CAMERON – Works in TV advertising, married 13yrs and has a young son, a flashy dresser. He’s the
    peacemaker among his friends. 2nd best golfer
    Rick and Donnie are partnered for the game. Ted and Cameron are partnered for the game
    Ages of the characters will be determined based on availability of actors

    Show Synopsis
    The Foursome is a warm and funny play. Time: Early 2000s, 7am tee time, the morning after the guys’ 15yr
    college reunion. Place: Windemere Golf Club, near Muskoka, Ontario. Rick, Ted, Donnie, and Cameron are
    home for their fifteenth college reunion. During the weekend, the men go out for a game of golf, and it is
    during this game that the four get caught up on each other’s lives since their college days. The stage is 18 tees
    of a Golf and Country Club. At each tee they relive old times, and catch up on their problems, successes, and
    failures since the old college days. A family man, a con artist, a millionaire, and a TV ad salesman, the friends –
    at least they were back then – discover that their lives have taken them in very different directions. Of course,
    real golf balls are not used. All golf shots are mimed.

    Rehearsals: Tuesday 7:30pm – 10:30pm; Thursday 7:30pm – 10:30pm; Sunday 6:00pm – 9:00pm, at St. Paul’s
    United Church, 123 Main St. East, Milton. Rehearsals begin mid Feb, 2023
    Show dates: May 5,6,7,11,12,13 2023 at The First Ontario Arts Centre Milton
