History of the Milton Players
Milton Players Theatre Group was formed in the Spring of 1979 by 14 enthusiastic people, responding to an ad in the local newspaper. In November of the same year, “Goodnight, Mrs. Puffin”, the first MPTG production, appeared on stage. Over the years, the Milton Players Theatre Group has performed in various locations around Milton including E.C. Drury Secondary School, the Halton Centennial Manor, the Optimist Club, St. Paul’s United Church, the Roxy Theatre, the Masonic Temple on Hwy 25, the Milton Senior’s Center and currently at the beautiful Milton Centre for the Arts where we are performing 3 shows per season, each consisting of 6 performances. The Milton Players Theatre Group is run by a very dedicated membership base, all of which are volunteering their time to produce great quality theatre for the Milton community and surrounding areas. And we are always looking for theatre minded people to join our group. If you are interested in learning more about the Milton Players Theatre Group you can reach us at info@miltonplayers.com.
